Harry Floyd
Harry Edwin Floyd, 84, of Piney Flats, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012, at the NHC Healthcare Center in Johnson City.
He was a native and lifelong Piney Flats resident and a son of the late Henry and Laura Blevins Floyd.
Mr. Floyd retired from NARC with 33 years of service and was a retired farmer.
Mr. Floyd had served his country in the U.S. Army-Air Corps and later in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member and a deacon of Piney Flats Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors of Mr. Floyd include: his wife of 65 years, Juanita June Paris Floyd; one son, Steven E. Floyd, of Piney Flats; two Grandchildren, Kimberly, of Piney Flats, and Kevin, of Key West, Fla.; four Great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012, from the U.S. National Cemetery at Mt. Home. Graveside Military Honors will be observed. A procession will leave the funeral home for the cemetery at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
