David Franklin Winn
David Franklin Winn, second son of Marion and Alice Winn, was born November 6, 1882 and departed this life November 16, 1951 at his home near Oskaloosa, Iowa, at the age of 69 years and 10 days. Frank Winn was born on a farm in Schuyler County, Missouri, where he made his home for thirty seven years. He was married to Hannah Etta Pearce, November 14, 1919. He made his home in Iowa since that date. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Marion and Alice Winn, three brothers, Orval and Leslie of Downing, Mo. and Elbert of Colorado, and a half brother Jess Winn of Willmathsville and a half sister Tinsie Parker of Nebraska. He is survived by his widow, Mrs Etta Winn, and his stepson, Julian W. Pearce and his step- daughter, Mrs. Jennie M Goodwin of Rose Hill, Iowa, and three sisters, Mrs. Alice Shoop of Muscatine, Iowa, Mrs. Iva McKinney of Long Mont, Colorado, and Mrs. Pearl Whittom of Downing, Mo., six brothers, Vernie and Orva Winn of Downing, Mo. Virgil and Willie Winn of Greentop, Mo. Silas of Queen City, Mo. Ernest Winn of Keokuk, Iowa, and two step grandchildren, Roscoe, L. Pearce of Michigan and Bonnie Goodwin of Rose Hill, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral was held at the Newman Funeral Home at Oskaloosa, Iowa, Monday, November 19, 1951 at 10:00 am with Rev. Ernest R. De Witt officiating. The funeral at 2:30 Monday afternoon at the Coffey Church was conducted by the Rev. Hollis Bowen of Queen City, Missouri. Interment at the Coffey Cemetery near Downing.
