Lenora Watson
Lenora Watson, age 92 of Knox City, Missouri, passed away Monday (April 11, 2005) at the Northeast Regional Medical Center at Kirksville, Missouri.
Lenora was born in Knox County on April 4, 1913, a daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Sylvia Ellen (Goodwin) Norton.
On October 22, 1930, she was united in marriage to Frank Watson and he preceded her in death on September 6, 1968. Her parents and two brothers, Johnnie and Robert Norton also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Lou Miller and Helen Lois Hayes of Knox City, Missouri, one son, James Francis Watson of Macon, Missouri and Leonard Mauck of Bolivar, Missouri who was raised in the home. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Steven Miller and his wife, Eileen of Knox City, Missouri, Devonna Miller of Marblehead, Illinois, Nancy Stice and her husband, Larry of Lewistown, Missouri, Mike Hayes and his wife, Angie of Knox City, Missouri, Kirk Watson and friend, Sherri of Macon, Missouri, Kent Watson and his wife, Shelly of Quincy, Illinois and Shanna Jo Watson and Fiance` of Arlington, Texas; a sister-in-law, Vada Norton of Knox City; eleven great-grandchildren, Lance,Nikki, Ashley, Devin, Alex, Shaylee, Kiley, Kale, Bill, Russ and Chad; and five great-great-grandchildren, Haleigh, Sidney, Brianna, Braydon and Jenna.
Mrs. Watson was a life long resident of Knox County. She had been employed by the telephone company, a clerk in the Northcutt Grocery, and the Bill Hayes Grocery and for thirty-five years she was employed at the C&R Supermarket at Edina, Missouri.
Lenora enjoyed working with people and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading Danielle Steele books and working with her flowers, especially her hibiscus.
She was a member of the Knox City Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the Knox City Cemetery, Knox City, Missouri.
