    • Naomi Grunewald, 92, of Jeffers died June 25, 1999, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton.
      Services were held Tuesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers with the Rev. David Webster officiating.
      Interment was at the Jeffers Cemetery.
      Naomi L. Radtke, daughter of John and Amelia (Gumto) Radtke was born in Germantown Township, Cottonwood County, on Feb. 14, 1907. She was received into the Christian faith through baptism in the Methodist Church in Sanborn and later confirmed in that same church.
      Naomi grew up in the Sanborn area and graduated from school there. After graduation she went on to "Normal Training" for country school teachers. After completing the requirements of training, Naomi taught for several years.
      In 1933 she married Emil A. Grunewald. After marriage the couple farmed in Germantown and Amboy Townships until retiring to Jeffers.
      In 1988, Emil died. Naomi later entered Valley View Manor.
      Naomi was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers and the Ladies Aid and Circle in the church.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; two brothers, Wayne and Lowell Radtke; one sister, Della Pulasky; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
      Survivors include one daughter, Mary Lou (Marvin) Prins of Jeffers; and one foster-son, Steven (Kathie) Grunewald of Sanborn; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
