  Obituary	Windomite Killed in 2 Car Crash USAF S Sgt. Walter Fuller of Minneapolis, died in Immanual Hospital, in Minneapolis of injuries in the accident that was fatal to Jerry Grunewald according to a radio report. A head-on collision last Thursday evening took the life of 23 year old Jerry Grunewald of Windom and critically injured U.S. Staff Sgt. Walter Fuller of Minneapolis. The young man was killed instantly when the 1957 Chevrolet he was driving collided with a 1964 Ford operated by the 41 year old serviceman. Grunewald, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Grunewald of this city, was married about seven months ago to the former Jean Lewis of Jeffers. He was employed at Schrader Lumber Co., in Butterfield and was returning from a day's work when the accident occurred two and a half miles east of Mr. Lake on TH 60. Sgt. Fuller was travelling west on the highway and was attempting to pass a Hubbard Milling truck. Apparently both Fuller and Grunewald attempted to take the ditch rather than hit head-on. As a result, the two vehicles were partly in the ditch when they smashed into each other. The grinding impact totally demolished both vehicles with the two men remaining in their cars. A half hour was needed to remove Grunewald who was pinned in the wreckage. Fuller was take to Mt. Lake....
