Andrew S. Peters«/b»
Andrew S. Peters, 81, 810 S. Greenview Ave., Rockford, died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in Swedish-American Hospital after a four-week illness. He was the father of Mrs. Victor L. Martin and the brother of Mrs. Clara Gajdosik and Mrs. Mary Raasch, all of Janesville.
He was born April 25, 1883, in Rock Prairie, Wis., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Peters, and married to Mary Kuffel in July 1939 in Charles City, Iowa. He had resided in Rockford 21 years, having moved there from Beloit.
Survivors are his wife, another daughter, Mrs. John Broughton, Beloit; a son Stanley E., Monticello, Iowa; and two other sisters, Mrs. Helen Bell, Chicago, and Mrs. Martha Datko, Rockford.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Gasparini-Oliveri Funeral Home, Rockford, with burial in Willwood Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the rosary to be recited there at 7:30 p.m.
