      Henry George Ysker, son of Claus and Mabel (Ubben) Ysker, was born in Mountain Lake Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota. He received his education at a country school near Mountain Lake, Minnesota.

      Henry was a member of First Lutheran Church in Butterfield, Minnesota.

      On December 17, 1957, he was united in marriage to Velda Grunewald at Mason City, Iowa. After their marriage, they lived in Storden and Wilder, Minnesota while Henry worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad Co. He retired in 1969. They moved to Butterfield in 1979, and have lived there since.

      Henry was admitted to the Watonwan Memorial Hospital in St. James, Minnesota on Monday, April 13, 1987, and passed away there on Tuesday, April 14, 1987. He attained the age of 68 year, nin months, and ten days.

      Survivors include his wife, Velda, of Butterfield, Minnesota, three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Connie Ysker, Henry and Loretta Ysker, Ernest and Sharon Ysker all of Mountain lake, Minnesota; three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Gordon Sidle of Hibbing, Minnesota, jo and Patrick Flaherty of Butterfield, Minnesota, and Constance and Ronald Wollschlager of St. James, Minnesota; eighteen grandchildren, one brother, William Ysker of Bingham Lake, Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Mathilda) Townsend of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Larry (Lillian) Faircloth of Smarr, Georgia; on have sister, Mrs. George (Mary) Williams of Russell, Minnesota; nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

    • Services for Henry G. Ysker, 68, Butterfield, were held Friday afternoon, April 17, in the First Lutheran Church, Butterfield, the Rev. Earl Peterson officiating.
      Interment was in Butterfield Cemetery.
      Mr. Ysker died Tuesday, April 14, in Watonwan Memorial Hospital, St. James.
      He was born in Mt. Lake Township, Cottonwood County, in 1918, the son of Claus and Mabel (Ubben) Ysker and received his education from a country school near Mt. Lake.
      On Dec. 17, 1957, he married Velda Grunewald in Mason City, Ia.
      After their marriage, they lived in Storden and Wilder while Mr. Ysker was employed by the Chicago Northwestern Railroad Company. He retired in 1969, and in 1979, they moved to Butterfield, where they have lived since.
      Survivors include his widow, Velda Ysker, Butterfield; three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Connie Ysker, Henry and Loretta Ysker and Ernest and Sharon Ysker, all of Mt. Lake; three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Gordon Sidle, Hibbing, Jo and Patrick Flaherty, Butterfield and Constance and Ronald Wollschlager, St. James; 18 grandchildren; one brother, William Ysker, Bingham Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Mathilda) Townsend, Los Angeles, Calif. and Mrs. Larry (Lillian) Faircloth, Smarr, Ga.; one half-sister, Mrs. George (Mary) Williams, Russell and nieces and nephews.
      His parents preceded him in death.
      Juan Barron, Rodney "Gus" Schulte, Robert Herman, Marvin Weinzetl, Roger Bauling and Leon Wollschlager served as casket bearers at the services.
