The funeral Mass for Patricia M. Peloquin Knaup will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Patricia Peloquin Knaup, 78, of Rochester, died Friday (Jan. 23, 2009) at Saint Marys Hospital, of heart disease.
Born Patricia Lenertz on Nov. 18, 1930, in Mankato, Minn., she attended school at St. Peter and Paul in Mankato. She lived most of her life in Rochester and worked as a tailor at Montgomery Ward. She was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church and loved fishing, camping, sewing, reading, knitting, and spending time with her family. In 1947, she married Lyle Bonebrake in Mankato. He died in 1952. She married Lawrence Peloquin in 1953; he preceded her in death in 1989. She married Fred Knaup in 1994; Mr. Knaup died in 2003.
She is survived by eight children, Kathy Fletcher and Janet (Jim) Nihart, both of Rochester, Lyle (Jean) Bonebrake of White Bear Lake, Minn., Deb (Dave) Koehler of Kasson, Chuck (Sheila) Peloquin, Mary (Dan) Hunter of Rochester, Sue (Paul) Pongratz of Kasson and Bonnie Kleiber of Blaine, Minn.; five stepchildren, Mary (Jim) Wallerich of Lake City, Wayne (Diane) Knaup of Rochester, Rita (Steve) Richardson of Lake City, Freddie (Dawn) Knaup of Shakopee, Minn., and Monica (Donnie) Dohrn of Zumbrota; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Don (Agnes) Lenertz of Mankato; and three sisters, Helen Fjeld of Mankato, Delores Yancy of Farmington, Minn., and Shirley Bierman of Waukegan, Ill. Other survivors include a daughter-in-law, Darlene Peloquin. She was preceded in death by her husbands; a son, Roger Peloquin; a sister and two brothers.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Macken Funeral Home, and an hour before the service Thursday at the church.
