      Early Settler Dies
      Mrs. Mary Fowlie Dies At Brother's Home on Division Street
      Mrs. Mary Fowlie, aged 58 years, died at 10:10 this morning at the home of her brother, Thomas Wilson, 616 Division street. Mrs. Fowlie died of kidney trouble, after an illness of several weeks.
      Funeral services will be held at 12:45 Sunday form the home at 616 Division. The body will be taken to Amherst, Mrs. Fowlie's former home for interment.
      Mrs. Fowlie was life-long resident of Protage county, having been born in Amherst, sixteen miles southwest of Stevens Point.
      The deceased leaves one child, William Fowlie, who works in the Jackson mill, her mother, Mrs. Phoebe Wilson, who has been making her home with Mrs. Carl Haertel of this city. Brothers surviving Mrs. Fowlie are Robert and Thomas Wilson of Stevens Point, Estele Wilson of Ashland, Henry and Richard Wilson of Amherst, and one sister, Mrs. Carl Haertel.

      Many Attend Funeral
      Many relatives and friends from a distance attended the funeral of Mrs. Mary Fowlie, which was held this afternoon. Services were conducted at the home of Thomas Wilson, brother of the deceased, 616 Division street, at 12:45 o'clock by Rev. J. J. Gelling, pastor of the Methodist church at Amherst. The remains were taken to Amherst on the 2 o'clock train, where burial took place in Greewood cemetery. Those in the funeral party were William Fowlie, Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Haertel, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hull and son, Wilbur, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Behrendt and Earl Wilson, city; Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Wilson and daughter, Bessie, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Pomeroy, Marion Fleming, George Fleming, Asa Wilson, Mrs. A.P. Een, Miss Vergie Mason, Mrs. Burton Harvey and R.R. Fryar, Amherst; Mrs. Louis Weber, S. Sanders, Mrs. Robert Blair, Almond; Mrs. G.A. Manthey, Minneapolis, and Mrs. H.A. Miller, Neshkoro.
