      Geddes -- Celestine "Celly" Vasek, 87, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at Lake Andes Health Care Center.

      Celestine Gajdosik wa born July 2, 1911, in Czechoslovakia. She came to the United States to Wisconsin in 1931 and moved to Geddes in 1935.

      She married Charles Vasek on March 5, 1935, in Geddes. They farmed the area and moved into Geddes in 1967. Her husband died April 16, 1986.

      She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary of Geddes.

      Survivors include two sons: Joe of Kimball and John of Geddes; eight grandchildren and one half-brother, David Gajdosik of Janesville, Wis.

      Services begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Geddes, with burial in the church cemetery.

      Visitation is 3 to 5 p.m. today at Clements-Wiese Funeral Chapel in Geddes, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. at the church.
