Obituaries
Manetta Yackel, 87, Forest Park Healthcare Center, died at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 1990, at Saint Joseph Hospital & Health Center.
Born May 30, 1902, in Welcome, Minn., she was a daughter of HEnry and Margaret (Wilken) Kopeschka.
She was married in 1931 to Herbert Yackel, who died in 1966.
She worked for the National Battery Co., Chicago Heights, Ill. from 1940 to 1955.
Surviving are a brother, Wilbur Kopeschka of Kokomo; a sister Martha Eickhoff of Hot Springs, Ark.; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. A son, a brother and a sister preceded her in death.
The Rev. Nick Block will lead a graveside service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Crown Point Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Ellers Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
