Divorce Granted
Judge T.A. Beardmore in district court Saturday granted a divorce decree to Frederick Marvin Haines from Frances Jean Haines on a cruel and inhuman treatment charge.
They were married at Decorah, Nov. 7, 1936, and lived together until July 27, 1941. The defendant may resume her maiden name of Frances Jean Peters if she desires according to the decree.
A stipulation allowed her the household furniture, except guns, etc., belonging to the plaintiff. He was allowed his equity in the home property, automobile, etc. The defendant held an auction sale Saturday afternoon and disposed of the furniture, a few hours after the divorce was granted.

Announcement is made of the marriage of Freddie M. Haines, son of Mrs. Jennie Haines and Miss Frances J. Peters, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Peters, all of this city, which took place Nov. 7, 1936, at Decorah, Ia. Following the graduation of the bride last Friday evening from the local high school, the couple left on a wedding trip to points east and will return to this city to make their home.
