Large Dinner Party Given On Herman Ehler's Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ehlers wee hosts to friends and relatives at the Richmaid Sky Room on Oct. 4 in celebration of their silver wedding anniversary.
The Ehlers were married in Lodi in St. Peter's Lutheran Church by the Rev. A. H. Wessling, who is now professor at the Lutheran Concordia College of Oakland.
Mrs. Ehlers received her guests in a lace dress with a white orchid pinned to her shoulder.
Marlene Ehlers daughter of the honorees, was in charge of the guest book. In charge of the gifts were the Ehlers' oldest son and his wife and their other two sons seated guests.
For the chicken raviola dinner, the main dining table was covered with a lace cloth, and centered with a big bouquet of pastel shade carnations. On either side of the bouquet were pictures taken of the bridal party 25 years ago.
The pastor, Rev. A.H. Wessling, and Mrs. Wessling were present at the gathering, as were all the attendants of the wedding. The matron of honor was Mrs. A. M. Erpenstein of Millbrow, bridesmaids, Mrs. Arnold Zielske of Sacramento and Mrs. Fred Sousa of Stockton. The flower girl is now Mrs. Ray Preszler of Lodi.
The dinner was served by a number of young classmates of their daughter, Marlene.
