Aged Susanville Resident Dies This Morning
Amos E. Evans, resident of Susanville for the past 20 years, died at his home on Spring street at 9 o'clock this morning, after an illness of more than two weeks. Evans was a native of Scotts Valley, California. He was 74 years old at the time of his death.
He leaves his wife, Martha Evans, and the following children: James M. Evans, Lakeview, Oregon; Mrs. Pauline Proctor, Lakeview, Oregon; a brother, Frank R. Evans, Fort Jones, California; and two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Otto, Eden, Idaho, and Mrs. Etta M. Stone, Memphis, Missouri.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Morrill & Hornshuh Chapel, Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Reverend E. L. Spaulding will officiate at the funeral. Interment will be made in the Lassen Cemetery.
