- Robert married Mary Crum in East Peoria on June 1, 1972. She survives.
Also surviving are his son, Donald (Jan) Moody; three daughters, Cynthia (Mike) McCannon, Pamela (Greg) Mier and Roberta (Rick) Cicalo; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Virginia (Lloyd) Kusch and Sharon (Paul) Wellington.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob moved to California and worked at Lockheed Aircraft building planes during World War II.
He moved to Peoria in the 1950s, where he was a self-employed carpenter. He also invented a browning agent for microwaving foods which he later sold to Tyson Foods.
