Charles Fulton Dies.
Charles Elmer Fulton, 74, 1540 Sixth avenue, Marion, a Milwaukee railroad maintanence foreman for 36 years before his retirement in 1942, died at his home at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday following a long illness. Born July 31, 1877, at Keota, he was married to Laura Mae Derby on Sept. 2, 1903, near Ollie.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Bruce H., Oxford Junction, Laurence E., Fayette, and Earl W., Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Mrs. Louis Bemer of Palo; a brother Ernest W. Fulton of Keota; a sister Mrs. Frank McConnell of Richland, Ia., and 12 grandchildren. Two sons, Fred D. and Charles G. Fulton preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Woodman of the World lodge and the Brotherhood of Railway Maintanence.
Services will be conducted in Turner chapel, Cedar Rapids, at a time to be announced later. Burial will be at Sigourney. Friends may call at the chapel after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
