- Regina Joan Conner, 81, of Kokomo, passed away at 2:43 PM, Thursday January 7, 2016 at herb residence. Born September 2, 1934 in Logansport, Indiana, she was the daughter of then late Austin Hellyer and Helen Beatrice Hellyer. In 1967, she married Don Phillip Conner. He preceded her in death on September 21, 2012. She was employed with Delco Electronics for over 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed playing BINGO, working in her flower garden, reading and waitressing. She attended St. Patrick Catholic Church; was a member of U.A.W. Local #292 and V.F.W. Auxillary. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by one daughter Ruth Ann Wright of Kokomo; five sisters Becky Species, Bonnie McDonald, Karen Douglas, Kathy Baker, and Jody Clark. Grandchildren Ronnie, Misti, Rick, Penny, Christopher, and Ashley. Great grandchildren Macy, Jordan, Andrew, Dymond, Tayla, Brittany, Krista, Kaitlyn, Kiley, Issac, Caliegh, Christopher Jr., Josh, Caleb, Denver, Alexis, and Levi; great great grandchildren Lacey, Alaric, and Iris. There are also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one daughter Carolyn Sue Langley; three brothers David Hellyer, Bud Hellyer, and John Hellyer; and one sister Dolly Lewis.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Monday February 1, 2016 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastor David Osborne will officiate. Burial of cremains will follow at Kokomo Memorial Park.
