- Clara H. Carlson, 71, Two Harbors, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 1995, in her home. She was born and grew up in Brimson.
She graduated from Embarrass High School and completed nurse's training at Hibbing Junior College. She was a registered nurse at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Two Harbors for 17 years, retiring in 1987 as an operating-room supervisor. She lived in Two Harbors since 1968. She was a member of Pioneer Crafts Cooperative and a former member of Lake County Fair Board.
Her first husband, James Highland, died in 1961. Her parents were Asari and Signe Aho.
Clara is survived by her husband, Frank; sons, Dale Highland, and Lyle Highland; daughter, Arlis Carlstrom; brother, Donald Aho; a sister, Corinne Prentiss; and seven grandchildren.
Burial will be in Brimson Cemetery.
