Amherst, Aug. 30 -- (U.P.) Arthur C. Wilson
Arthur C. Wilson, 68, a resident of Amherst most of his life and a veteran Soo Line railroad employee, died Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at his home. He had been in ill health for three yearas and confined to bed the past six weeks.
Mr. Wilson was born on February 19, 1867, at Amherst. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilson. He attended the Amherst schools and his marriage to Miss Zella Fryar of Amherst took place 29 years ago. Mr. Wilson was in the continuous service of the Wisconsin Central and Soo Line railroads for 47 years. He started as a young man as station agent at Amherst and, with the exception of five years spent at Menasha in the same capacity, Mr. Wilson had resided at Amherst. At the time of his death he was divisional freight superintendent for the Soo Line.
Mr. Wilson was a member of the Bryan lodge, No. 98, F. and A. M. Of Menasha, the Twin Cities Commandery, Knights Templar of Menasha and the Tripoli Temple Mystic Shrine of Milwaukee.
Surviving are his wife and a son, Hollis, and a daughter, Mrs. O. Bilhorn, both of Amherst.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wilson home at Amherst. Rev. C. E. Olsen officiated and interment took place in the Greenwood cemetery at Amherst.

- Funeral of Mr. Wilson
Funeral services for Arthur C. Wilson, divisional freight superintendent for the Soo Line railroad for many years, who died Saturday afternoon at his home at Amherst, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the family home at Amherst. Rev. C. E. Olsen of the Amherst M. E. church officiated. A Masonic ritualistic service was conducted at the home and at the grave in the family lot in Greenwood cemetery.
A large number of Masons from the Menasha lodge, of which he was a member, and the Waupaca and Stevens Point lodges attended the funeral, as well as many Soo Line employees including C. L. Simpson, superintendent, Ray Clark, agent, and Charles H. Boyington, special agent, of Stevens Point E. G. Clark, freight traffic manager, Minneapolis,; George M. Thompson, divisional freight agent, Menasha; E.C. Frost, divisional freight agent, Chippewa Falls; R.C. Thorne, traveling freight agent, Menasha; C. W. Hodson, agent, Oshkosh; E.C. Eckert, agent, Waskesha; I. B. Erickson, agent, Waupaca and W. A. Smith, agent, Wisconsin Rapids. Others from Stevens Point who attended the funeral were Mrs. Simpson and daughter, Lillian, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Haertel, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Menzel and Earl Wilson. Don Barton and son, George and daughter, Dorothy, of Oshkosh and H. D. Wake of Wisconsin Rapids were also present.
