Deaths
Jerome William Szyszka, 69, of Norway, died Thursday at Mercy Hospital following a long illness.
Born Aug. 16, 1912, at Chicago, Ill., he married Florence Schnurrer Oct. 14, 1936, at Pierz, Minn. He was in the locker business in Oelwein for five years before moving to Norway in 1961. He was the first owner of the Norway Locker and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Jerome Jr., and Walter, both of Norway; six grandchildren; on brother, Ben of Waseca, Minn.; three sisters, Wanda Maid of New Ulm, Minn., Jenny Mettler of Waseca, Minn., and Helen Oelky of Blue Earth, Minn.
Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, by the Rev. Robert Saunders. Burial: Czech National Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the George Brosh home, Norway. Rosaries will be recited at 3 and 8 p.m. today at the Brosh home.
