- Obituary
Modena Herbert Cowden was born February 9, 1886, in Scotland county, Missouri. She was united in wedlock to Claude R. Dust, of El Reno, August 25, 1907 and had made her home in this city since her marriage. Only one child, Perry Raymond, aged three years, was born of this union.
At the age of 14 she gave her heart to her Savior at Bible Grove, Mo., uniting with the Christian church and has at all times since been a faithful worker in the cause she so much loved. She is survivied by a husband, son, father, mother, four brothers and four sisters and a host of friends.
The funeral services, which were in charge of the Knights and Ladies of Security, was conducted by Rev. Nichols, of the Baptist church, on account of the illness of her pastor, Rev. W. L. Thornton.

- Mrs. Dust Passed Away
The funeral services of Mrs. Claude Dust were held at the First Christian church yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. L. Thornton. Mrs. Dust expired last Saturday at her home, 319 North Evans, after a brief illness. She was thirty-one years old. She is survived by her husband, a son of tender years, several brothers, sisters, and her father.

Daughter of Officer Cowden Weds Young Business Man
Yesterday afternoon Claud Dust and Miss Modena Cowden went to Oklahoma City and were quietly married. The bride is the winsome daughter of Night Chief Cowden, and has many friends in El Reno. She has lived here a number of years. Mr. Dust is and energetic young man who came here from Scotland county, Missouri about a year ago and went to work for E. T. Prince, afterwards taking a similar position in Sands' grocery. He has purchased tw lots on South Choctaw, built a nice cottage, furnished same and had the nest well feathered for his bride. They will begin housekeeping __ (unreadable).
The Democrat joins with many friends to extend congratulations for happiness and prosperity.
