- Sylvia McKinney, former resident Sonora, age 96 of Modesto, CA and Sonora, CA resident of more than 30 years, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 3, 2010 surrounded by her sons and family members. She was born in Kona, Hawaii. She attended Santa Clara High School. She is preceded in death by her husband William McKinney and one son Eugene Molarius. Born in 1913, she enjoyed League Bowling with her many friends into her 90's before slowing down due to her advanced age. She is survived by her 3 sons and their families, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Molarius, Mr. & Mrs. Dennis McKinney and son Gary McKinney. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and William Molarius/Vince Strona. A Rosary Service will be held Thursday Nov. 11, 7pm, at LIMA FAMILY Funeral Home 466 N. Winchester Blvd. Santa Clara, CA. A Funeral Service/Interment Ceremony will be held Friday Nov. 12, 10am at LIMA FAMILY Funeral home with interment following at the Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
