«/b» Daniel C. Foelster, janitor of the German Lutheran church, died at three o'clock this morning of erysipelas, after an illness of just one week. He was born in Germany and had resided in Mankato for twenty years past. His age was sixty-six years, and he is survived by a wife, three sons and five daughters. He was a devout member of the German Lutheran church, and was well known and had many friends who will regret his death. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed, but the interment will be had in the the German Lutheran cemetery.
The funeral will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the house on Pine street, and at 2 p.m. from the German Lutheran church.

Foelster«/b», janitor of the German Lutheran church, corner Spring and Second streets, died very suddenly this morning at 3 o'clock of erysipelas of the face at the family residence 120 Pine street. Mr. Foelster has only been sick one week and during his short illness he had suffered terribly with that dreaded disease.
Deceased was a son of Mr. Mrs. Max Foelster and he was 67 years of age. He is survived by a wife, three sons and five daughters. Funeral services will be held at the German Lutheran church, the date to be announced later. The interment will be at the German Lutheran cemetery.

The funeral of the late Daniel C. Foelster was held at the German Lutheran church this afternoon. A large number of friends gathered at the church to pay a last tribute to their departed friend. Rev. F. A. Winter preached a beautiful sermon on the life and character of this man. The floral offerings were many. The scholars of the German Lutheran school, of which he was janitor, sent a beautiful piece, "gates ajar." The scholars also rendered some appropriate music at the church. A large concourse of friends followed the remains to the German Lutheran cemetery, where the body was interred.
