  	Sister Nettie Hurbert Pedigo died of typhoid fever in Oklahoma last week and her body was brought back here for interment. She was born in Scotland County, MO, Nov., 3, 1862, being aged 31 years, 8 months and 24 days , and was called to her final refuge July 27, 1904. She became a member of the Christian Church at Bible Grove at the tender age of 12. She was one of the most devoted and active members in the Christian Church at the above named place. Having a thirst for knowledge and a desire to become useful in the world she attended school and became a successful teacher in the public schools for a number of years. She was united in marriage to Van A. Mount, February 15, 1899, the writer officiating. Many floral tributes come to help cheer the sad hearts. While the sun of her earthly life went down in its morning hours, yet, it leaves a beautiful radiance in the hearts of those upon whom its pure light fell. She leaves on this side of the "dark river" a lonely husband, three sweet children, brothers, mother and many other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her loss. May the abiding comfort of the Spirit of our God uphold and sustain and sweeten the remaining years of the bereaved family, in our earnest prayer. The funeral was conducted by the writer from the church at Bible Grove on last Lord's Day at 11 o'clock, where a large congregation of people had assembled to pay their last tribute of respect to her pure memory.   	-- Mrs. Van Mount , nee Nettie Pedigo, died in Oklahoma last week and her body was brought to Downing last Saturday and was taken to Bible Grove for interment that day. Deceased was raised in this county, near Bible Grove, was married there and about three years ago she moved with her husband to Oklahoma. When she moved away she was in poor health, and her friends were afraid she had lung trouble. What the immediate cause of her death was is only a matter of conjecture, but it is presumed it was consumption. She leaves a husband, three small children - the youngest, a babe of 9 months, and other relatives to mourn her death.
