- James F. Miller
James F. Miller, Oxnard, Calif., former Winonan, died Sept. 9 at Oxnard. He was born April 3, 1886, in Winona, the son of the late Fred and Mary E. Miller.
He enlisted in the Minnesota National Guard when 17, also served in the U.S. Navy, and re-enlisted in the guard to do duty on the Mexican border. He served in World War I. He again served in the Navy in World War II, entering service and serving for six years. He was transferred back to the States, to Oxnard, in 1951.
Funeral services and burial will be at Oxnard Friday.
Survivors are his wife, Jenette Randall Miller; four children, Mrs. Randalin Radke, Duquette, Minn.; Richard, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Jack (Margaret) McAnaney, Salinas, Calif., and Nancy, New York City; tow brothers, William O. Miller and Victor H. Miller, Winona, and one sister, Mrs. Ray Pooler, Denver, Colo.

James Miller Dies After Heart Attack
James Freeman Miller, 66, died yesterday morning after suffering a heart attack at his home at 554 Laurel street, Oxnard.
Mr. Miller was a security police officer at the Port Hueneme naval base and had 16 days to complete 25 years of government service, at which time he planned to retire.
He was born April 3, 1887, in Winona, Minn. and was transferred to Port Hueneme from Honolulu two years ago. He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannette; one son, Richard, of Arlington, Va.; three daughters, Miss Nancy Miller, New York, N.Y., Mrs. Loren Radke, Finland, Minn., and Mrs. Margaret McAnaney, Salinas; two brothers, William and Victor, both of Winona; a sister, Mrs. R.A. Pooler, Denver; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Reardan Bros. mortuary in Oxnard.

Mass will be said at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the mortuary wit the Rev. W. K. Bramble officiating. Burial will be at Santa Clara cemetery.

- Jeanette Forrest Randall, and James Freeman Miller, were married at nine o'clock this morning at the home of the bride's parents. Father F. T. English, a close friend of the two families officiated. Only relatives were present. Piano and violin music was played during the ceremony which was followed by a wedding breakfast. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Randall and has always lived in Winona. Mr. Miller is a son of Mrs. Mary E. Miller of this city and for the past year has resided in Minneapolis. The relatives present from out of the city included Mrs. Louis C. Moos, of Minneapolis, Miss Estelle A. Randall of Rochester, and Mrs. Ray A. Pooler of Austin. Mr. and Mrs. Miller left on the noon train and will make their future home in Minneapolis.
