Funeral services for Harry Lloyd Baker, 73 of Bethel were held Tuesday afternoon at the Musgrove funeral home in Bethel. Rev. Lloyd Brown of Shelbyville conducted the services and burial was in Locust Hill cemetery west of Novelty. Mr. Baker died Saturday night in his home after a long illness.
Mr. Baker was born April 28, 1888 near Memphis, a son of Thomas H. and Martha Lews Baker. He was married Sept. 24, 1914 to Omega Dalton, who survives.
Other survivors are seven daughters, Mrs. Violet Parrish of Novelty, Mrs. Eva Hermandey, Mrs. Dora Lee Ontivears and Dorothy Starlipper of Kans. City, Miss Betty Baker of Bethel, Miss Nova Baker, Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Martha King of Davenport, Iowa; 4 sons, Ernest L. of Bethel, Leo F. of Long Beach, Calif., Harry Jr., of Hurdland and John L. of Bloomfield, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Stella Sechrist of Kansas City; a brother, Curt of Memphis; 19 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
