Private funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at the Brusie Funeral Home for Mrs. Mabel Helen Garrison, who died at a local hospital early Sunday morning.
Mrs. Garrison was born in Queen City, Mo., on Aug. 20, 1879. As a youngster she moved to Delhi, Minn. with her parents. Later she had moved to Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, and from there she and her husband, George Garrison, moved to Chico in 1914. Garrison, who was in the cattle business here died in 1928.
Mrs. Garrison was interested in gardening and spent much of her time with this hobby.
She is survived by three children, Mrs. Margaret Tarter and Elsworth Garrison, both of Chico; and Orie L. Garrison of Sacramento; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a brother, Ed Boehm of Duluth, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Dora Engeman of Silverton, Ore., and many nieces and nephews.
Rev. J. Gordon Hooten of the First Christian Church will officiate at the services and interment will take place in Chico Cemetery.
